DIENG PLATEAU, The Golden Sunrise. DAY 2

Day 2 in Dieng.
Bone-chilling cold air greeted us in the morning. We woke up early morning about 3 am and decided to hunt a sunrise in Bukit Sikunir (Sikunir hills).

A night before hunting, we had little convo with owner of hotel about the best time to get sunrise. He told us there are three option to get the best sunrise in Dieng. There are from Bukit Sikunir, Prau mountain, and Pakuwaja mountain.

Bukit Sikunir is the famous one. Because it was the nearest place from resident and it just took about 30 - 45 minutes to reach the top of hills. If climb up the mountain is your hobby, you can take the Prau mountain route and open a tent there or just starting climb about 1 am from hotel. For Pakuwaja mountain, it a bit far from resident. It took three hours from the resident.

From our hotel took 15 minutes to reach the parking area at Bukit Sikunir. We joined with another group from our hotel to went there. The minimum facility in Dieng, made our dawn journey bit spooky and we cant avoid small accident happen in that time. Sari dropped the poket wallet that contain our gadgets. Me and sari go back to find it, and Mya waited on parking area. Fortunately, we found it.

Bukit sikunir is 2.263 masl (meter above sea level), when we reach the top we can see how much people there (maybe it was weekend). I was bit confused about the situation, and my thought said "are we get lost in the market? Or there is market in this area?" LOL. So many people there

The view of sunrise was awesome and we had so much fun took picture there. We stayed there about 2 hours and walked down hill. When we climb we cant see anything, it was too dark to made us focus where we should put our feet safely. But when the sun rises, woooow you can see everything. The most beautiful scenery that I saw in my life (in that periode, I saw more now hahaha)

The sun shine higher, we still had bareface included oil and swollen eyes. We should go back to our hotel soon.

After took a bath, we have to feed our stomach. We walked around hotel area and found a grandma who sell "Sate Ayam" (chicken satay). We decided to have it. You can find her in your way to Indomart (mini market).

Our hotel was so ordinary, small room and look not really good from outside. But it was comfortable to stay (of course with cheap price :p). But I didnt remember the name, hahahaha you can googling the homestay or cheap hotel in Dieng. Like we saw there are so many good place to stay (better than our hotel :D).

We prepared to check out and went to the last destination before back home. We planned watch documenter film on Dieng Plateu theater. But we changed our plan after talked with a lady of shopkeeper. She told us, the movie aired 20 minutes with bored plot. You know, documenter film is not my favorite. If you love it, just go watch it. hehehe

Had a snack in theater area, someone gave us suggestion go to Bukit Pandang to see Telaga warna from above. We just followed the rute with cautions step and finally met a guy who will guide us.

 A guy who guided us before, offered photo service with cost Rp. 5.000/photo or Rp. 10.000 for taking 3 photos but we asked discount and gave us 6 photos for Rp. 10.000. Ahhh so lucky we are.

That's a wrap.

We ended our trip in Dieng and back to Banjarnegara. I was late to catch a train for that afternoon and back home in the next morning.

This trip had deep meaning for me. Dieng was the right place to heal my heart. Good air, wonderful place, quiet atmosphere gimme some peace. I'd love to come back here again.
